River schools ships are available to provide low cost accommodation on site for Students 15-17 at risk of dropout. The restaurant building owned by Council has been vacant for several years. We are approaching Council for assistance to use as a Tech College home port.

Students start the Earie Tech College "Time Out" experience combining practical tech skills learning with essential SACE subjects. Students live in Avoca Trust school ship with a team of 16 students and their teachers. We reset the student's learning pathway, THEN we call for a family decision, STAY OR LEAVE Aerie.

IF STAY, the Avoca trust School ships offer student accommodation a 4 year residential Progression to complete SACE with essentials and to start River Tech VET certificate courses. 

• The Hospitality VET skills training will be contracted to Murray Bridge TAFE. 
• Maritime VET skills training will be contracted to AMSA VET College

Accommodation on the school ships is backpacker team style. Advanced students will have the opportunity to earn with River Tourism industry business skills working the boats. Aerie Lifestyle is backpacker to build team mentality and keeping living costs as low as possible.

Aerie VET Certificate progression can progress to Cert 5 in river tourism skills.
