Teachers considering a "Sabbatical" for the following year are welcome to come-and-try, casual berths available top floor during vac schools.
Teachers for the "Time Out" programs will be on "Sabbatical" release from their normal school, to Manage each of the 4 terms of "Time Out" programs, each with a different team of students.
- This is a 1 year full time resident onboard contract, a unique "Time Out" adventure opportunity for an experienced teacher or teach couple, holding a boat licence, on a Negotiated all inclusive Salary.
- Responsible for teaching 16 students onboard. = basic SACE subjects - AND special discussions.
- Ensuite cabin on top deck.
- Kayak skilled preferable
School ships are managed by an Aerie Master. They host teachers who are interested in taking a "Sabbatical" year working with a new intake of 16 teens each term on TSAerie.
See the time out entry term program. This is a one term enrolment for families to consider of full time enrolment with Aerie Tech College for the Senior High SACE years, ages 15-17, and for teachers considering a "Sabbatical" year teaching full time cruising between Mannum and Mildura on the school ships.
Principal, Capt. Bouc will visit to chat about Aerie Tech enrolment. This program provides an opportunity for teens who are not happy in their existing school. Sometimes CHANGE is a necessary step for teens in transition to adult.
Teacher Couples will be invited to join the Vac. Schools to consider managing the school ship for the following year "Time Out" programs.
- Boat Operation and catering supervision
- Supervise daily kayaking
- Supervise student rostered cooking and food purchase
- Supervise learning tasks set by visiting or remote teachers.
Essential Exercise is Fun Time on the kayaks.
