Why a Different Approach Matters for TAFE courses and the management of large group meetings

  • We know that many youth drop out of TAFE programs.
  • Residential cruise TAFE course have a better chance of holding students in a residential arrangement.
  • TS Mundoo will support a team of students learning tourism hospitality skills with TAFE.
  • TS Mundoo has the seating and catering capacity to manage large conference groups anywhere on the river.

We see high dropout rates in high school,

  • Usually because of rejection from their group peers. (Nasty gangs)
  • In high schools there is no formal structure to hold the study team together,
  • while parents are legally obligated to keep children in school until age 17, finding the right school can be tough.
  • Vocational Training VET, especially with a residential support structure, is a more supportive and engaging path for students facing distress.
  • We empower parents by acknowledging that while they can't change large school systems, they can choose a different learning environment that fosters their child's success.
  • Both "SS Aerie" and "SS Mundoo" provide river boating industry and tourism skills Residential support for education and training events.

Parents are welcome to cruise with TS Mundoo on relocation voyages. Sleeping accommodation will be swag camp style on the carpeted restaurant deck. A donation will be requested to cover the costs. Aerie School ships work as private boats  They are an integral part of our Aerie Riverboat community. We work with other education organisations to supervise the curriculum. Our focus is on keeping young people engaged. We encourage parents to be fully involved in their child's learning journey and to discuss our teaching methods with the principal. This collaborative approach ensures that both students and teachers are supported.

The Aerie College School ship Residential Difference: Adventure-Based industry skills Learning support for both SACE & TAFE students.

Changing environments is often the most effective solution for both students and parents. Aerie Residential Adventure College offers a safe, alternative learning pathway designed to put young people on a positive new trajectory. As a Residential College, we provide a unique form of "home schooling" through Adventure Challenge Vocational learning.

Your journey with Aerie begins with a teacher-guided escape, (Some call this a "School Camp" managed by Aerie College.) where students cruise full-time on a remote River Murray School-ship for their first term. Schools cam manage the student work on a remote learning basis.  We are happy to cooperate with any school for their student work supervision. Call it "Home Schooling" or "Online learning". We are all experienced teachers but have no interest in becoming a "School".

For those who stay, the school ship becomes their home and classroom for the next two years, cruising the Murray River. They are away from urban distractions and the pressures of large schools, our "young eagles" learn to thrive, grow, and complete their VET certificates, perhaps to Diploma.

Ready to explore a different path for your future?  Need to find a safe home while you get it together?

We're here with a supportive School ship base to help you navigate this important decision.

TSMundoo cruises to where there's work, all Skills training.
