Ts Mundoo will be fundraising DGR Donations to further develop the Avoca School Ship Fleet
The donations are 100% tax deduction for DGR Gift Purpose:- "Education about the environment of the Murray River region"
We have asked the new state Government Ministers, Education and Treasurer, to approve SAFA Loan funding to secure TS Mundoo as the first Avoca School ship in the fleet.
TS Mundoo has resident crew, assisted by students in residence as part of their VETIS training:-
- Master + 2 teachers, Cabins on Main desk aft.
- Ts Mundoo offers 16 full time student berths for SACE-VETIS Tech studies, Commercial, "Coxswain, Coastal and Inland waters + Tourism Hospitality + Water rescue and first aid"
- Student berths are located below deck, aft of the kitchen.
Ts Mundoo will provide Avoca School ships marketing and functions fund raising.

Originally build as a cruising restaurant steamer in Goolwa, and for a day, the royal barge for Diana, Princess of Wales.
Mundoo was unable to find success in Goolwa and was purchased by Alby Pointon, to join his riverboats fleet in Mildura. With her small 4HP steam engine, the voyage up river was a major saga. In Mildura, Pointon refitted her with diesel hydraulic drive to each paddle, proven to be a very effective drive solution, and the independent wheel drive has improved the her steering problems.
